R&D Project Manager

Dr. Giulia Cartocci holds a degree in Neurobiology (110 cum laude) and later obtained a PhD in Clinical Experimental Neurosciences (with a focus on auditory system pathologies) both from the University of Sapienza, Rome.

At the same university, Dr. Cartocci holds a fixed-term researcher position (RTD-A) in Physiology, for which she also obtained the National Scientific Qualification (05/D1). Dr. Cartocci has published 48 articles indexed on Scopus and 3 book chapters, and she is a reviewer for several international journals with impact factor (Frontiers, Brain Sciences, Ear and Hearing...) and funding agencies (RNID).

Since 2015, she has been collaborating part-time with BrainSigns on research and development projects, as well as clinical studies related to hearing loss, Neuroesthetics, and Neuromarketing, which involve the measurement of human biosignals (mainly Electroencephalogram, combined with autonomic and psycho-behavioral measures). These studies particularly focus on measuring approach/withdrawal motivation towards stimuli and the cognitive efforts related to the execution of particular tasks.

Dr. Cartocci is primarily involved in all projects funded by the world-leading cochlear implant company Cochlear Ltd and contributes to the drafting and submission of national and international research projects (mainly within the framework of European Projects) and scientific publications on active research topics at BrainSigns.
