The system has been funded by EU Horizon 2020 and is now distributed in the market in partnership between BrainSigns and Brain Products.

Applications

Aviation

Training and expertise are key aspects in aviation. A traditional way of evaluating operator (i.e. pilots, air traffic controllers) expertise is to measure performance output; however, this approach provides a narrow view of the operator’s capacity, especially with regard to the cognitive profile.

Automotive

The human element of driving remains the main cause of traffic accidents and fatalities. Real-time measurement of workload and vigilance provided by Mindtooth neurometrics enable better training and improved performance, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.

NeuroAesthetics

The Mindtooth system was validated through studies within the Accademia dei Lincei and the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome to measure the appreciation of various works of art: the recitation of passages from Dante’s Divine Comedy or the observation of the Moses statue by Michelangelo.

Virtual Reality Integration

The Mindtooth Touch headset can be worn together with head-mounted VR systems without inducing signal interference. The system has been tested by BrainSigns in a research study, which assessed workload and approach-withdrawal during VR in different scenarios. This solution is offered in collaboration with Myndek that developed an SDK for VR and Neurometrics integration.

From 2016 to 2018 she has worked in a French company based in Paris as Research Engineer in the field of electrophysiological signals.

Alessia Vozzi is a PhD student, attending the third year of the Morphogenesis and Tissue Engineering program, biophysics curriculum, at Sapienza University of Rome.

Currently she works in BrainSigns as Biomedical Engineer experienced in the analysis of physiological signals for industrial applications. Her main research activity, on behalf of BrainSigns, is focused on the acquisition and the analysis of biological signals (Electroencephalogram, Heart Rate, Galvanic Skin Response and Eye-Tracking), with the aim of investigating the cognitive and emotional human response to external stimulations.

In the company, she mainly deals with R&D concerns in the field of Neuromarketing, working at the improvement of the signal processing tools, supporting thesis students and trainees in their work.

Furthermore, she works as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) specialist, with the aim of ensuring the respect the EU standards in matters of privacy.

Dr. Alessia Vozzi is also author and co-author of several publications on neuromarketing on peer reviewed scientific journals and reviewer for international journals.
