The SOULSS (Scaffolding Online University Learning: Support Systems) Project aims to provide tertiary level teachers with training guidelines for effective instruction that balances several teaching modes and techniques in presence and online.

To achieve this goal, the project will study the basic elements to build teachers as “expert instructional designers” able to optimally employ online teaching methods. The project will produce an online learning platform for teachers where the materials and a training course kit, divided into 5 units, will be placed.

BrainSigns will contribute to the development of the platform and will be in charge of testing it in terms of usability and user’s experience with neuroscientific tools. Three testing phases are expected in which sensors for brain activity, heart rate, skin conductance and eye tracking will be used to improve UX.
